The Sagan has won the UCI Championship at the head of the International Cycling Union (UCI), with 232 points.

The Slovakian teammate Maciej Bodnarom has a 13-member escape provoked by the Austrians Heinrich Haussler (IAM) about 60 km before the end om and until almost the end of the group kept more than a minute ahead. In the end, the peloton quickly approached, falling behind in the last five kilometers for only 30 seconds. Four miles to the goal Sagan attacked and gained a 12-second lead. In the last kilometer, the Slovakian representative was standing for 17 seconds and was looking forward to winning the traditional rear-wheel drive.

“I am very glad to have succeeded after Milan Remo and Harelbeke, to win the classic, it’s a great feeling, I am happy, as well as the entire Cannondale team that helped me, we were very encouraged, we were much stronger than the other races, the organizers shortened by almost fifty kilometers because the weather was again unpleasant Big winter, about zero degrees, and cold cold wind.Everything was decided about fifty kilometers ahead of the goal when we ran a group of thirteen riders, besides me, teammate Maciej Bodnar, which was very good for us. However, the wind continued to blow, even the wind, and Omega, headed by Cavendish, went for us. In front of our group, no one wanted to pull, just four or five, so I said four miles ahead of the goal of trying and breaking it.

Eventually it turned out great, I went and I came to the finish myself. Of course, I wanted to make some joy to the well-liked spectator, to win the classics with the lead, to earn some winning gesture, so I am entertained by the ride on the rear wheel. But I have to thank the whole team, even Bodnar, who helped me a lot.I’m also very happy to be in the UCI rankings, where I’m the first one, so it’s still great. I felt comfortable all day and now I’m looking forward to other Belgian classics, “
spoke to Peter Sagan by his media manager Jozef Korbel.
